IT Team Lead (Application Support)

We are currently looking for an IT Team Lead  to join our team. The role is predominantly onsite, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm. This is a growth position that we anticipate evolving to an IT Manager Role with several reports in the future. 

Reporting to the IT Director, this role is responsible for supporting technical design, implementation and project management of supply chain technology solutions within the organization. This role translates business requirements into technical specifications and ensures successful deployment of supply chain solutions. The successful candidate collaborates closely with internal and external project resources to deliver high-quality and efficient supply chain solution implementations. This role will also contribute to the planning and implementation of IT projects including concept, identification, scope and estimates. This role is considered a key part of department succession and a candidate should be prepared for career advancement. 

What you can expect from this role:

• You’ll act as a project leader on internal IT initiatives
• You’ll support and ensure quality delivery of IT solutions including project management, system setup, testing, training, implementation, and post implementation support
• You’ll represent IT proficiency in developing and fostering constructive relationships
• You’ll apply your understanding / knowledge of IT applications and infrastructure components.
• You’ll prepare and deliver status reports for Operations and Project contacts
• You’ll contribute to the development of IT project plans, resiliency, and strategy to meet business needs
• You’ll support applications such as: Microsoft SQL, Azure, IBM Power Systems (iSeries/AS400), Zebra RF, Honeywell Vocollect, Oracle JDEdwards, Manhattan Warehouse Management
• You’ll participate in training and/or recruitment of other IT Team members
• You’ll participate in development activities relating to IT department leadership

Now, here’s what we need from you:

• Completion of a Diploma or degree in a relevant technical field
• 9+ years directly working in an IT environment in the Supply Chain industry
• Working knowledge of logistics and supply chain marketplace
• Motivated to advance career development towards leadership opportunities
• Experience in the implementation and support of business systems
• Strong Information Technology knowledge, with expertise in IT principles, practices, and methodologies.
• Knowledge of project management aspects: integration, scope, time, cost, quality, human resources, risk, procurement, and communications
• Skilled in communication, decision making and problem-solving skills
• Aptitude for organizing, scheduling, developing and executing action plans
• Ability to build trust and maintain a productive environment
